FT School-Based Clinical Specialist

The SLV Behavioral Health Group is seeking a FT School-Based Clinical Specialist to provide assistance in screening and assessments of child behavior, outreach groups, and serve as a resource developer to other clinicians and school providers. Candidate must possess Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling or equivalent, one year of paid experience working in a clinical-behavior setting, excellent communication skills, sound judgment, empathy, sensitivity, creativity and be computer literate and a team player.

FT Emergency Services Clinician

The SLV Behavioral Health Group is seeking a FT Emergency Services Clinician to provide emergency evaluation, risk assessments, and community planning and support for a broad range of people of varying ages and backgrounds. The ES clinician will be a part of a 24 hour Emergency Services team that collaborates with other mental health and community providers. Candidate must possess Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling or equivalent, two years of paid experience working with clients with mental illness, excellent communication skills, sound judgment, empathy, sensitivity, creativity and be computer literate and a team player.

FT Clinical Supervisor

The SLV Behavioral Health Group is seeking a FT Clinical Supervisor to provide case management and clinical supervision, training, and mentoring to staff members. Applicants must have the ability to effectively coordinate with Clinical Directors and HR Director on performance issues, while communicating goals and direction effectively to staff. Candidate must possess Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, counseling or equivalent, and have a current license. Successful applicant must have three years of paid experience supervising clinical staff. Excellent communication skills, sound judgment, empathy, sensitivity, creativity are a must. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to be a team player and be computer literate.

Application Processes

The Human Resource Department at San Luis Valley Community Mental Health Center takes pride in its transparent and consistent hiring practices. We follow the same protocol for all positions to ensure unbiased Equal Employment Opportunity to all applicants. Upon receiving an application or resume, the name of the applicant is entered into a database, thus ensuring that no applications are lost or misplaced. Afterwards, upon closing of position the recruiter does a preliminary evaluation of applicants and submits copies of all application and evaluation to the hiring manager. The hiring manager will select the most suitable candidates for interviews within two weeks. The interviews are performed with three other directors or supervisors who evaluate the applicant in a systematic manner both with questions and with an applicant-evaluation form. The hiring manager makes a pre-hire selection and candidates enter a comprehensive background-check process. The applicants who were not chosen receive a letter within five business days, after position is filled, informing them of the decision.
