Critical Incident Stress Management

The Center provides critical incident stress management services to emergency service agencies via the SLV Critical Incident Team, including, but not limited to, education, on-scene responses, manmade and natural disasters, defusing, demobilization and debriefing. Any staff member receiving a request for these services should immediately make contact with the CISM Coordinator or other team member. In the event these persons cannot be located, the call should be directed to the Colorado State Patrol Despatch Center (719) 589-5807, who will initiate a call-down of team members. Staff who are not members of teh CISM team woulkd not engage in on-scene responsese or debriefings without the consent of a team member.
